Understand your fertility today to grow your family sooner.

If you’re ready to try for pregnancy, we’ll guide you through a step-by-step evaluation to check your reproductive health and create a plan that’s right for you.

Here’s what you can expect:

Step 1: Book Your Appointment

Call us on Cycle Day 1 (the first full day of your period) to schedule your tests.

Step 2: Female Partner Testing

First part of testing is done on Cycle Day 2-4 and includes:

Ovarian Reserve

While ovarian reserve tests don’t tell you if you’ll get pregnant naturally, they can help us figure out the best treatment plan for you. Ovarian reserve refers to an estimate of the number of eggs remaining in your ovaries and how your body may respond to fertility treatments such as IVF. We assess ovarian reserve using a combination of blood tests and a pelvic ultrasound.

  • FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone)
  • Estradiol
  • AMH (anti-Müllerian hormone)
  • Antral follicle count (via transvaginal ultrasound)

Bloodwork and screening

We’ll also do some other bloodwork to get the full picture, including:

  • Thyroid (TSH)
  • STI screening
  • CBC
  • Genetic carrier screening

Second part of testing is done between cycle day 5-12:

Uterine Tubal Assessment via Saline Sonogram or HSG (Hysterosalpingogram)

Ibuprofen is recommended one hour before the test to minimize cramping.

Step 3: If You Have a Male Partner

We’ll also arrange a semen analysis to assess sperm health and identify any contributing factors. A repeat semen analysis will be scheduled if any abnormalities are found.

Once your results are ready, your physician will review everything with you and help you decide on next steps—whether that’s trying naturally, treatment, or more testing.

Explore your fertility treatment options

After reviewing your health history, we’ll perform any necessary tests, and then you’ll meet with us to develop a clear plan based on your goals.
